Catherine A. Scholz is a master’s student in counseling psychology (expressive arts focus) at the California Institute for Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA USA. She is also a WordPress consultant, mother of 2 and a multi-modal artist.
Born and raised in the Milwaukee area of the midwest of the U.S., Catherine began her musical training at age 6 with Lynne Buelo at Cross of Life Lutheran Church. She played euphonium in the Greater Milwaukee Youth Wind Ensemble and toured with this group in Europe at age 15.
She went on to study music at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy and Music Education.
At age 25 she moved to northern California and created her own private practice as a music therapist and music educator. She co-produced 2 albums of original music, Whirlwind Girl (2004) and Right Here Now (2014).
She currently lives in Grass Valley, CA and is pursuing her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Expressive Arts Therapy. She expects to graduate in May, 2021.
